In pain? What to do now

Dr. Hirose grew up in the Bay Area, the fourth generation of his family here. He studied molecular and cell biology at UC Berkeley, with a focus on neurobiology, and graduated magna cum laude. Neurobiology turns out to be useful in his specialty, because much of endodontics is figuring out where tooth pain really comes from.

At the UCLA School of Dentistry he graduated cum laude and earned the Dr. No-Hee Park Award and a Dean’s Letter of Recognition. He then completed specialty training in endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania.

He is a board-eligible endodontist and a member of the American Association of Endodontists and the American Dental Association. He works under a surgical microscope, which magnifies and lights the inside of the tooth.

Outside the office

Dr. Hirose practices and teaches judo, is learning the electric bass, and spends his free time with his wife and their dog.
